Russians reduced the use of FPV drones by 18% in February, a likely effect of the Ukrainian Defense Forces' destruction of enemy unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi announced this on Facebook, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
Syrskyi said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit 85 enemy targets with DeepStrike in February, taking into account previous periods, the cumulative effect is a decrease in total oil refining in russia by 24.8%. The Chief of Staff singled out a missile strike on the Votkinsk plant in Udmurtia, which produces Iskander-M and Oreshnik missiles.
"In addition, the 18% decrease in the use of FPV drones by Russians in February is a likely effect of our defeat of enemy UAV arsenals," he said.
Syrskyi emphasized that the russian aggressor outnumbers the Ukrainian Armed Forces almost three to one, but, given the active actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, is forced to postpone the dates of its planned operations, patch holes in its defense and redeploy troops from other areas.
He also noted that in February the trend of receiving international military assistance improved somewhat, but the main source of military equipment remains its restoration and repair by own forces - in February this figure increased by almost a quarter compared to January.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January and February 2026, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit three large enterprises of the military-industrial complex of the aggressor country russia, as well as one of the key missile ranges and two large arsenals.
