During the week, the aggressor country of russia launched almost 1,750 strike drones, 1,530 guided aerial bombs and 39 missiles over Ukraine. This was reported by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his Telegram channel.
"Over the past week, russia has attacked our country thousands of times. Civilian infrastructure is under attack: energy and residential buildings. Our soldiers manage to neutralize most of the targets. But more protection is needed, and it is needed every day," the President wrote.
First of all, according to Zelenskyy, Ukraine needs air defense missiles, and therefore contributions and supplies within the PURL program are key.
"And I thank everyone who continues to support. We need to continue to tighten sanctions on russia and its accomplices. Everything that helps the russian federation finance and continue this war must be blocked. Today, there will be negotiations with European partners on each of these elements. Thank you to everyone who helps Ukraine," he concluded.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on March 7, ATACMS and SCALP missiles hit a storage, preparation, and launch site for enemy Shahed strike UAVs near the Donetsk airport.
