During night, enemy attacks Ukraine with 29 missiles and 480 drones - President reports on russian attacks

On the night of March 7, the russians launched 29 missiles, most of which are ballistic, and 480 drones, most of which are Shaheds, at Ukraine.

This was reported by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

He called on partners to continue supporting Ukraine in the fight against the russian federation.

According to the Head of State, the enemy targeted energy in the city of Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi and Chernivtsi Regions, as well as railway infrastructure in the Zhytomyr Region. Damage was recorded in Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Vinnytsia, Odesa, Poltava, Sumy, Cherkasy Regions. Relevant services are working wherever necessary.

"There must be a response from partners to these brutal attacks on life. I thank everyone who will not remain silent. Russia has not rejected attempts to destroy Ukraine's residential and critical infrastructure, and therefore, support must continue. The PURL program must continue to work no less actively. We count on active work with the EU to guarantee more protection for our people. I am grateful to everyone who helps strengthen our protection," Zelenskyy added.

At the same time, Minister of Community and Territorial Development Oleksii Kuleba clarified that in Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia Regions, the russians attacked four railway substations and a number of railway bridges. There were no casualties in this case.

"Due to damage, some trains were temporarily diverted to alternative routes. Restoration work is ongoing at all facilities. During the air alert, more than 20 trains were stopped in safe places - this is a standard safety procedure to protect passengers and employees," Kuleba added.

While in the Odesa Region, the russians attacked the port infrastructure. As a result of the arrivals, tanks with vegetable oil caught fire. A grain warehouse was also damaged there. Port infrastructure was damaged in another port.

As a reminder, as Ukrainian News Agency reported, this night the russians attacked Kharkiv and the Kharkiv Region with drones and ballistic missiles. In the Kyivskyi district, a direct hit of a ballistic missile on a multi-storey building was recorded. As a result of the attack, a large-scale fire broke out, significant destruction is recorded. At least one entrance was destroyed. As of 9:00 am, seven deaths were known, including two children.
