General Staff confirms defeat of 2 russian warships in Novorossiysk port

On March 2, the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit two ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the aggressor country russia - the frigates Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov. This is stated in the message of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday, March 6.

The General Staff confirmed the defeat of two enemy ships.

"According to the results of additional analysis of the damage to the Novorossiysk naval base in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation on March 2, 2026, damage to two ships of the Russian Black Sea Fleet - the frigates Admiral Essen and Admiral Makarov - was confirmed," the statement said.

Analysis and clarification of possible damage to other vessels of the russian occupiers is underway.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of March 2, during an attack on the port of Novorossiysk, the SSU, together with the Defense Forces hit the Admiral Essen frigate, which carries eight Kalibr cruise missiles.
