Director of A-95 Consulting Group Serhii Kuiun believes that fuel prices in Ukraine are rising due to panic.

He said this on his Facebook page, according to the Ukrainian News agency.

"We wanted to prevent it, but no, it happened. Panic," Kuiun wrote.

He noted that it was panic that started the flywheel of rising prices and it is no longer clear who started it first - gas station chains or fuel buyers.

The latter are also under pressure from international traders and producers, who began to scare with a reduction in supply and to raise the price under these talks.

Kuiun writes that the war in Iran is definitely at the beginning of the process

Everyone watches the news, listens to the closure of the straits and... goes to the gas stations of their countries to fill up the tank.

Local suppliers see this and start broadcasting it further.

In Ukraine, sales through gas stations have increased by 50% in recent days, and in some of them even more.

According to the expert, the process started on Monday, when everything was more or less calm, because of the news.

Kuiun again reminds us that everything is fine, there are stocks in the networks, in particular, all are filled with gasoline.

He also added that there is also diesel fuel, with the disappearance of frost there is more of it, all the floodgates have opened, but the rush demand is devastating gas stations.

The expert thinks that the excitement has already inflated prices by at least UAH 5/l.

It is useless to look for the logic of pricing in the conditions of panic.

It was panic that deepened the spring crisis of 2022 as much as possible: if everyone had not rushed to gas stations with cans and barrels, but limited themselves to current consumption, they would most likely have passed without that month-long blackout, when only two networks were operating.

"Once again. Everything is fine, we have everything, there is no reason to panic. Physically, nothing can change in the big world in 3 days. Everyone is flooded with oil, and all production is not limited to the Gulf countries. Europe has a 90-day supply of fuel and oil," added Kuiun.

We are waiting for good news from the Strait of Hormuz.

Yesterday, Trump said he was ready to escort oil and fuel tankers through the strait.

Kuiun believes that this week a lot will be clarified and someone will regret having filled that 200-liter barrel at UAH 70/l.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Serhii Kuiun wrote earlier that there is more than enough gasoline in Ukraine and there is no reason to panic.

However, in early March, the retail fuel market was hit by another wave of price increases.
