United States preparing new wave of strikes on Iran in coming days - CNN

The United States is preparing to significantly increase attacks on Iran over the next 24 hours. This is reported by CNN, citing a senior American official.

According to the channel's interlocutor, the first phase of the operation has already weakened Iranian defenses, after which Washington plans to move on to the next stage.

"The first phase of the attacks has weakened Iran's defenses, and the next stage will focus on destroying the country's missile production, unmanned aerial vehicles and the navy," the US representative said.

At the same time, the source noted that American stocks of some missiles are gradually being depleted, in particular, the Tomahawk for strikes on ground targets and the SM-3 interceptor.

The escalation in the Middle East began on February 28, when Israel, together with the United States, launched strikes on Iran, declaring its intention to curb its nuclear ambitions and destroy its missile arsenal. According to reports, on the first day of the attacks, Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and a number of other senior officials were eliminated. The White House said that Iran lost at least 49 officials.

US President Donald Trump previously noted that the operation could last from four to five weeks and the current strikes are not the limit.

"We haven't even started hitting them hard yet. The big wave hasn't even come yet. The big wave will come soon," he said.

Recall that the United States announced the destruction of all Iranian warships in the Gulf of Oman.
