The US Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that American forces destroyed all Iranian warships that were in the Gulf of Oman at the time of the start of Operation Epic Fury.
The corresponding message was published on the CENTCOM page on the social network X (Twitter).
"Two days ago, the Iranian regime had eleven ships in the Gulf of Oman, today they have zero," the message says.
CENTCOM noted that Tehran has been harassing and attacking international shipping in the Gulf of Oman for decades. And added that those days are over.
"Freedom of maritime navigation has underpinned American and global economic prosperity for more than 80 years. U.S. forces will continue to defend it," CENTCOM reported.
The US military also showed video of what appears to be a strike on one of the Iranian ships in the port.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, last night it became known that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked the tanker Athe Nova in the Strait of Hormuz. It became the fifth vessel to be attacked by Iranian forces in the past three days.
As a reminder, the price of gas on the European stock exchange jumped by 50% after Iran attacked the facilities of QatarEnergy, one of the world's largest producers of liquefied natural gas (LNG).
