The Israel Defense Forces said that a missile attack was carried out from Lebanese territory on the northern regions of the country.

According to the Israeli military, air raid sirens sounded in several settlements in northern Israel due to the launch of missiles.
The IDF later clarified that the air defense system intercepted one missile. The other ammunition fell in open terrain, causing no damage to civilian objects.
Later, the Lebanese group Hezbollah said that it was it that carried out the attack.
"This is revenge for the blood of the Supreme Leader of Muslims, Ali Khamenei," the organization said.
The group also claims that the target of the attack was an Israeli missile defense facility south of Haifa.
On the eve, Hezbollah representatives publicly declared their full solidarity with Iran.
As a reminder, on February 28, US President Donald Trump made an official statement in which he confirmed the start of a large-scale military operation against Iran.
Meanwhile, the IDF announced the elimination of 40 key Iranian military commanders and all high-ranking leaders of the "Iranian axis of terror".

And Iran announced that it would not negotiate with the US.
