Russia launched 14 massive strikes on Ukraine, setting records for drone and missile attacks - Air Force

During the winter of 2025-2026, russian occupation forces carried out 14 massive combined attacks on the territory of Ukraine. If in December and January the enemy launched seven large-scale strikes, then in February the intensity of the shelling doubled - the country withstood seven more powerful attacks in one month. This was reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

December was marked by one of the largest strikes during the entire full-scale war: on December 6, on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the enemy launched 704 air targets, including 51 missiles. High intensity was maintained throughout the month - during the attacks on December 13, 23 and 27, the number of targets ranged from 500 to over 670 units.

In January, russia focused on the use of ballistic weapons. In particular, on January 9, the main strike fell on the Kyiv Region, where 278 targets were recorded. Also this month, the enemy used medium-range ballistic missiles in the Lviv Region and twice — on January 20 and 24 — attacked Ukraine with hypersonic Zircon missiles.

February became a month of peak loads on the Ukrainian air defense system. It was during this period that the largest number of missiles in a single strike was recorded — 71 units (February 3), as well as a record massive drone attack on February 26, when the enemy launched 420 UAVs simultaneously.
