President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not sign the law on the abolition of daylight saving time, so on the night of March 28-29, Ukrainians will traditionally move their clocks forward one hour.
The transition to winter and summer time in Ukraine has been taking place in accordance with the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers since 1996. Winter time lasts from the end of October to the last Sunday of March.
Recall that in July 2024, the Verkhovna Rada supported the bill on the abolition of seasonal clock changes. The initiative provided for Ukraine's transition to permanent winter time. On August 21, the bill was sent to Volodymyr Zelenskyy for signature. However, the President never signed it.
Therefore, the time change is currently taking place as before - twice a year.
Scientists of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine consider the refusal to change clocks beneficial for the health of citizens, as well as in the interests of Ukraine.
