On the fourth anniversary of the beginning of russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, First Lady Olena Zelenska, together with foreign guests who came to Kyiv, paid tribute to the fallen Ukrainian defenders on Maidan Nezalezhnosti. It was announced by the Office of the President, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

President of Finland Alexander Stubb, President of the European Council António Costa, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen, Prime Minister of Estonia Kristen Michal, Prime Minister of Iceland Kristrún Frostadóttir, Prime Minister of Latvia Evika Silinja, Prime Minister of Norway Jonas Gahr Støre, Prime Minister of Croatia Andrej Plenković, Prime Minister of Sweden Ulf Kristersson, representatives of the governments of the United Kingdom, Lithuania, North Macedonia, Poland, Croatia, the Commissioner of the President of France, parliamentarians and European Commissioners paid tribute to the fallen soldiers at the People’s Memorial of National Remembrance on Maidan Nezalezhnosti.

Zelenskyy, leaders and representatives of European states and the European Union placed candles near the portraits of the fallen heroes and honored their memory with a minute of silenceю

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the day of the fourth anniversary of the beginning of russia's full-scale aggression against Ukraine, Zelenskyy and European leaders prayed in St. Sophia of Kyiv for Ukrainians and a decent peace in Ukraine.
