The decision of Slovakia to stop emergency electricity supply to Ukraine will not have consequences for the operation of the Ukrainian power grid.
Ukrenergo has said this in a statement, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
The company noted that it had applied for emergency assistance to Slovakia more than a month ago, and the volumes were "very limited" then. According to the operator, supplies from this direction were carried out infrequently and lasted for a short time.
Ukrenergo also said that it had not received official documents from the Slovak system operator SEPS on the unilateral termination of the agreement on mutual emergency assistance.
On February 23, the Ukrainian company received a letter from SEPS with a proposal to revise the payment terms under the relevant agreement. Ukrenergo said that it was analyzing this document and promised to do so as soon as possible.
The company reminded that together with SEPS, they are full members of ENTSO-E, so the relationship between the operators must comply with the rules of this organization.
Ukrenergo also emphasized that the issue of limiting commercial electricity imports from Slovakia is not currently being raised, and the distributed throughput capacity of interstate crossings is used in accordance with the results of auctions.
