90% of deferrals have been extended automatically through the Reserve+ mobile application, and the Ministry of Defense is currently working on a comprehensive mobilization reform. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"90% of deferrals were extended automatically through Reserve+ - without applications, certificates and visits to territorial recruitment and social support centers," he said.
Fedorov noted that the process of obtaining deferrals has been automated, now the system itself checks the data through state registers and extends the deferral automatically.
"We are currently working on a comprehensive mobilization reform. We will propose a systemic solution to solve the problems accumulated over the years and at the same time preserve the country's defense capability," the minister said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, new rules for registration and extension of deferments from military service during mobilization will be in effect from November 1, 2025, all deferrals, the grounds for which can be confirmed in state registers or which cannot change over time, are subject to automatic extension.
On January 14, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Mykhailo Fedorov as Minister of Defense. On the same day, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that he expects Fedorov to propose systemic solutions to the problems that have accumulated around the work of territorial recruitment and social support centers.
