German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the war in Ukraine will not end until one of the parties is economically or militarily exhausted. His words were quoted by Die Rheinpfalz on Thursday, February 19.
Merz noted that he does not believe in a quick negotiated solution to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, the necessary conditions have not yet been created for the negotiation efforts of all parties involved to achieve the desired results
"In my opinion, this war will end only when one of the parties is exhausted - militarily or economically," the German Chancellor emphasized.
