Russian troops attacked the city's critical infrastructure at around 6 a.m. on February 20, leaving more than 41,000 subscribers without electricity. The head of the Regional Military Administration Ivan Fedorov has reported this.

Power engineers promptly started restoration work, which reduced the number of de-energized houses. As of now, about 8,000 consumers remain without electricity.

Despite the damage to the infrastructure, heat supply in the city continues to operate as usual.

"A small part of the houses is temporarily not powered, but we expect full recovery within a few hours," the head of the region said.

Fedorov also added that scheduled power outages continue to operate in the region, which usually do not exceed 4 hours.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reporte, on the night of February 20, during the massive shelling, an Iskander-M missile and more than 20 attack drones were recorded.

As a result of the fighting in the frontline regions and russian strikes on the energy infrastructure, consumers in the Donetsk, Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv Regions have been without electricity since morning.
