As a result of russian strikes on the energy infrastructure, consumers in the Kharkiv, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Mykolaiv Regions are without electricity this morning. It was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
Emergency repair works are already underway wherever the security situation allows.
"In some regions, emergency blackouts have been forced to be applied, and the previously published hourly blackout schedules are not valid there. We will return to the forecasted hourly schedules as soon as the situation in the power system stabilizes. Follow the messages on the official pages of the regional power distribution companies in your region," the statement said.
Consumption
Electricity consumption shows an upward trend. This morning, its level was 2.9% higher than at this time the previous day - on Thursday. The reason for this is the smaller amount of restrictive measures applied in some regions.
Effects of the bad weather
As of this morning, 40 settlements in four regions remain without power supply due to unfavorable weather conditions: Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kherson and Dnipropetrovsk Regions. Repair crews of the regional power distribution companies are working to restore the damaged lines.
As a reminder, yesterday 458 settlements in six regions were cut off from electricity supply due to the bad weather.
