36% of January tax revenues were provided by trade and processing industry enterprises - State Tax Service

Trade and processing industry enterprises provided more than a third of all tax revenues to the consolidated budget of Ukraine in January 2026.

This is stated in the message of the State Tax Service, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

In total, their contribution was 36.4%, which confirms the key role of these sectors in filling the state treasury.

- Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles - 19.5%;

- Processing industry - 16.9%.

Also among the leaders:

- public administration and defense; compulsory social insurance - 12.8%;

- extractive industry and quarrying - 5.7%.

Compared to the same period last year, some sectors showed a significant increase in tax payments:

- processing industry – 18.8% (+UAH 4.1 billion);

- public administration and defense; compulsory social insurance – 12% (+UAH 2.1 billion);

- wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles – 6.7% (+UAH 1.9 billion),

- mining and quarrying – 26.6% (+1.9 billion hryvnia).

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in January 2026, local budgets received UAH 28.4 million in tourist tax, which is 14.3% more than in the same period last year, when UAH 24.9 million was transferred.
