On Tuesday, February 17, in the morning, russian troops attacked a car with workers at the Slovyansk TPP with a drone, killing three people.
The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced this on its official website, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This is another reminder of how high the price of electricity and heat in our homes is. Our sincere condolences to all who lost their loved ones," the ministry said.
At night, russian forces carried out a combined attack with missiles and drones on energy infrastructure facilities in several regions.
Power outages were recorded in the Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Donetsk, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia Regions. Heat supply disruptions occurred in Odesa and Sumy.
Emergency restoration work has begun in all places where the security situation allows.
Hourly power outages have been implemented in most regions, power limitation schedules are in effect for enterprises; emergency shutdowns have been introduced in some regions.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of Tuesday, February 17, russian troops launched 29 missiles of various types and 396 strike drones across the territory of Ukraine, air defense forces managed to neutralize 392 enemy targets - 25 missiles and 367 drones, 4 ballistic missiles and 18 strike UAVs were recorded hitting 13 locations, as well as the fall of downed aircraft (fragments) at 8 locations.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the combined strike by the aggressor country of russia was specially calculated to cause as much damage as possible to Ukraine's energy sector.
