Arms exports will start in Ukraine on February 8. In parallel, ten specialized export centers will be launched in European countries in 2026.
This was announced by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to the head of state, these centers will be located in the Baltic countries and the countries of Northern Europe. They should ensure the work of Ukrainian defense exports in European markets.
The president also announced the launch of Ukrainian production of drones abroad. In particular, a production line is already operating in Germany, where Ukrainian drones are manufactured. The first drone, assembled at a German enterprise, is planned to be completed in mid-February. Similar production facilities are also operating in the United Kingdom.
The head of state emphasized that the security system of Europe currently relies largely on technologies and unmanned systems. According to him, several projects are being implemented, the basis of which are Ukrainian technologies and the work of Ukrainian specialists. He also noted that due to the conditions of the war, not all companies currently have the opportunity to fully enter other markets.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers plans to attract USD 120 billion for weapons production in 2026.
In April, Zelenskyy said that more than 40% of all weapons used on the front are produced in Ukraine.
