On February 7, the russian occupiers carried out another massive attack on Ukraine's energy facilities.

This was stated by Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal.

"Substations and overhead lines of 750 kV and 330 kV were under attack - the basis of Ukraine's energy grid. The enemy also struck at the generation: Burshtyn TPP and Dobrotvir TPP," he noted.

According to the minister, the nuclear power plant units were unloaded with personnel. Currently, 4.5-5 rounds of emergency shutdown schedules have been applied throughout the territory of Ukraine, and in the eastern and northern regions - special emergency shutdown schedules.

"The attack is ongoing. Energy workers are ready to begin restoration as soon as the security situation allows. The Ukrenergo dispatcher has activated a request for emergency assistance from Poland. Thank you for the resilience and heroism of our military and energy workers," Shmyhal added.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, russia massively attacked Ukraine with missiles and drones. The sounds of explosions could be heard in the Rivne, Kharkiv, Kropyvnytskyi, Lviv Region and other cities of Ukraine.
