US President Donald Trump said that he and his administration prevented a nuclear war between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia. Ukraine lost its status as a nuclear power in 1996.
Trump wrote about this on his page on the social network Truth Social on Thursday, February 5.
According to Trump, he has prevented nuclear wars around the world - between Pakistan and India, Iran and Israel, as well as russia and Ukraine.
The US President added that instead of extending the NEW START treaty with russia on mutual reduction of nuclear arsenals, he ordered the development of a new, improved and modernized treaty that will be in force for a long time.
Trump also said that since the beginning of his second term, the United States has completely rebuilt its armed forces, including creating new and modernizing numerous weapons.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on February 4, The Telegraph wrote that due to the pressure the Trump administration is putting on Ukraine to conclude a deal with russia, a new war may begin.
On February 4, Trump also said that russian dictator vladimir putin had kept his word - russia allegedly had not attacked the Ukrainian energy sector for a week. In fact, four days passed between the beginning of the so-called "energy truce" and the massive shelling.
