Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the aggressor country russia, 55,000 servicemen of the Ukrainian Defense Forces have been killed. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy made the statement in an interview with France 2, as quoted by Le Monde.

"In Ukraine, officially, the number of killed servicemen on the battlefield, whether they are regular military or mobilized, is 55,000," Zelenskyy said in response to a question about Ukraine's losses.

The President added that there are also "a large number of people" who are missing.

As a reminder, in February 2025, Zelenskyy announced Ukraine's losses in the war. Then, according to him, the number of losses of the Ukrainian army amounted to 46,000 killed and another 380,000 wounded soldiers.
