A massive night attack on the Kharkiv energy system has led to critical damage to the leading combined heat and power plant (CHPP), and under current conditions, the facility cannot be restored. This was stated by city council member Bohdan Tkachuk on Kyiv24.
Due to the shutdown of generation in the city, water is urgently being drained from the heating systems of 800 houses so that the pipes do not burst due to frost.
The city's transport system has also failed: the metro runs with huge delays of up to 20 minutes, and electric transport in most districts has been replaced by diesel buses.
According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the russians struck with missiles and Shaheds from one to six in the morning. In addition to the energy sector, Derhachi was hit, where five guided aerial bombs flew in - there is destruction and injuries there. Currently, the region is trying to somehow stabilize the network and get to the outage schedules instead of a complete blackout.
Recall that russian troops again attacked DTEK thermal power plants. As a result of the strike, the equipment of the power facilities was significantly damaged, which affected the operation of the plants.
After the night attack by the russian federation, two districts of Kyiv are without heating: DTEK introduced emergency power outages.
