Over the past day, there have been new russian attacks on energy facilities in frontline and border communities, but there have been no targeted attacks by russian missiles and Shaheds on energy infrastructure. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

Zelenskyy noted that the russian army, as in previous days, is focused on terrorizing logistics, especially railways, there were, in particular, strikes in the Dnipropetrovsk Region and the Zaporizhzhia Region.

"Today, during a conference call, we have defined separate instructions for the commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine and the head of Ukrzaliznytsia. I expect the orders to be fulfilled today," he said.

According to Zelenskyy, as of today, the power engineers have fully restored the state of the power system, which was before the technological accident on Saturday.

"The system has been stabilized, but, of course, due to the extremely cold weather and the consequences of Russian strikes, all the challenges remain difficult," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Monday, February 2, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council, said that russia resumed strikes on the energy sector, in particular, new blackouts in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy Regions.

On January 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that over the past night for the first time there were no strikes on the energy sector, while russia's reorientation to strikes on logistics was recorded.

On January 29, US President Donald Trump said that he had asked russian dictator vladimir putin that russia not strike Kyiv and other major Ukrainian cities for a week, and he allegedly agreed. Zelenskyy confirmed the energy truce talks.

Russian dictator vladimir putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov confirmed that Trump had asked the kremlin leader not to shell Ukraine's energy sector - and he allegedly agreed to refrain from striking Kyiv for a week, until February 1, to create favorable conditions for negotiations.
