Russia resumes attacks on energy sector - Head of Center for Countering Disinformation Kovalenko

The aggressor country russia has resumed strikes on the energy sector. The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council Andrii Kovalenko has announced this on Telegram, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"Russia has resumed strikes on the energy sector - new blackouts in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Cherkasy Regions," he said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 30, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said, that over the previous night for the first time there were no strikes on the energy sector, while russia's reorientation to strikes on logistics was recorded.

On January 29, US President Donald Trump said that he had asked russian dictator vladimir putin that russia not strike Kyiv and other major Ukrainian cities for a week, and he allegedly agreed. Zelenskyy confirmed the energy truce talks.
