Fico, after meeting with Trump, stated about "dangerous psychological state" of US President

After a personal meeting with US President Donald Trump at the Mar-a-Lago residence on January 17, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico expressed his concern to European leaders about the behavior and psychological state of the American President.

This was reported by Politico, citing sources among European Union diplomats.

According to the publication, Fico, who is one of the few EU leaders who regularly supports Trump's position, spoke about his concern about the "psychological state" of the US President during conversations with colleagues. This was told to journalists by two European diplomats.

According to them, when describing the meeting at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, the Slovak Prime Minister used the word "dangerous". One of the diplomats also noted that Fico characterized Trump as a person who, in his opinion, was "out of his mind".

As Politico's interlocutors specify, Fico made these remarks not during official meetings with the participation of all leaders, but at a separate informal meeting with the participation of some EU leaders and senior officials.

The publication also notes that diplomats from four different EU governments, as well as one senior EU representative, said they did not know what Trump's words could have provoked such a reaction from the Slovak Prime Minister.

Robert Fico's spokesman did not respond to journalists' requests for comment. At the same time, White House spokeswoman Anna Kelly called this information "absolutely fake news," which, according to her, is being spread by anonymous European diplomats. She said that the meeting in Mar-a-Lago was "positive and productive."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 25, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the documents on the security guarantees of the United States of America for Ukraine are fully prepared and waiting to be signed.

On January 24, the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera reported that Ukraine had been offered to give up the part of Donbas it controls in exchange for USD 800 billion and security guarantees.

However, the White House denied reports that the Trump administration was pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to agree to withdraw Ukrainian troops from Donbas in exchange for security guarantees from the United States.
