On Monday evening, the russian occupiers launched a massive attack on Kharkiv, combining missile strikes and drone attacks. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, has reported this.

"It was a combined attack - missile strikes and UAVs, which resulted in two people being injured. In addition to two schools in the Industrialnyi District, an energy infrastructure facility was hit," he said

According to the head of the region, the energy system of the region suffered significant damage as a result of the shelling.

"Our energy sector came under enemy fire - there are quite serious damages," emphasized Syniehubov.

He also stated that due to the scale of the damage and the introduction of emergency schedules, "about 80% of Kharkiv and the region are now without electricity."

Power engineers, rescuers and all relevant services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling and restore power as soon as possible.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, russian troops damaged an important power facility in the Nizhyn District of the Chernihiv Region, leaving hundreds of thousands of consumers without electricity supply.

On the night of January 24, russian occupation forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv, using attack drones and ballistic missiles. Three districts were hit, and at least one person was killed and three people were seriously injured.
