On Sunday, January 25, an official ceremony of the meeting of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy and the President of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda took place in the capital of Lithuania. This was reported by the Office of the President.
The Head of State of Ukraine arrived in Vilnius to participate in the solemn events dedicated to the 163rd anniversary of the January Uprising.
The First Ladies of both countries, Olena Zelenska and Diana Nausėdiene, also took part in the ceremony. The visit has not only symbolic significance in the context of common historical memory, but also an important diplomatic agenda.
In particular, a trilateral meeting of the leaders of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland is scheduled for today. Negotiations between Presidents Zelenskyy, Nausėda and Duda are scheduled to begin at 03:20 pm. It is expected that the main topics of discussion will be issues of regional security and further support for Ukraine.
