Polish President Karol Nawrocki announced the preparation of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He stated this to journalists on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Polsat News reports.
The Polish leader emphasized that the issues of russian aggression are critically important for Poland's security. According to him, the talks between the leaders of the two states will take place within the framework of a broader international event.
"I will meet with President Zelenskyy in a different format. I think, this coming weekend," Nawrocki noted.
At the same time, the Polish President announced that he does not plan a visit to Kyiv directly on the fourth anniversary of the full-scale russian invasion: "As for the anniversary, I do not plan to go to Kyiv or Ukraine."
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Polish President Nawrocki calls on Kyiv to more actively involve Warsaw in peace talks.
On December 5, Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy "wouldn't have fallen from his crown" if he had requested a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrotski while transiting through the country to France.
On Friday, December 19, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Warsaw for his first official meeting with the new Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
Earlier, the Polish President recorded a video message in which he demanded gratitude from Ukraine and Zelenskyy personally.
