Three Ukrainians illegally detained in Venezuela released - Sybiha

Three Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in Venezuela have been released. This was reported by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha on his X-account on Thursday, January 22.

Sybiha noted that the Ukrainians were released thanks to the coordinated efforts of Ukrainian diplomats, the support of the United States and European partners.

"Three Ukrainian citizens illegally detained in Venezuela have been released. They are now safe and are heading to reunite with their families. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to their release," the Foreign Minister wrote.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 11, President of the United States of America Donald Trump said that Venezuela had begun a large-scale process of releasing political prisoners.
