In Kupiansk, Kharkiv Region, most of the blocked soldiers of the army of the aggressor country of the russian federation are concentrated in the central part of the city. The Joint Forces Group spokesman Viktor Trehubov stated this on Wednesday, January 21.

According to him, most of the occupants in Kupiansk are blocked in a block of apartment buildings in the city center. Now Ukrainian military are busy clearing it. They are trying to do it in such a way as to minimize losses on their side.

Russians are making attempts to break through the ground corridor to their blocked units. They are not successful. They also fail to reach their targets east of Kupiansk, where the occupiers are also conducting assault operations.

Trehubov noted that the occupiers' failures to the north and east of Kupiansk mean that the russians blocked in the city are not receiving reinforcements.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 16, moscow repeatedly stated that the russian army allegedly controls Kupyansk. Such official statements have been made periodically for almost three months now.

It should be noted that earlier the so-called "military bloggers" and Z-channels with reluctance admitted that the Ukrainian Defense Forces had conducted a successful operation in Kupiansk.

The day before, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) stated that Kupiansk has become a painful topic for the kremlin and its propagandists, who are trying to form an alternative picture of the fighting.
