The plane of US President Donald Trump, which was heading to the World Economic Forum in Davos, was forced to return to the United States due to technical problems.

It was reported by CNN.

"Air Force One is returning to Joint Base Andrews due to a “minor electrical issue,” according to a White House official," the channel said.

CNN added that Trump's trip to Davos is not canceled. The US president plans to get to Switzerland on another, backup flight.

Later, the publication clarified that Air Force One landed safely at Joint Base Andrews. After that, it was decided that Donald Trump and members of his delegation would continue their trip on two smaller planes.

"Air Force One is expected to return to JBA around 11 p.m.," CNN said.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 20, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not currently planning a trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, as he remains to coordinate the situation with critical infrastructure and help Ukrainians.
