Zelenskyy says he will not go to Davos because he chooses Ukraine

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not currently planning a trip to the World Economic Forum in Davos, because he still needs to coordinate the situation with critical infrastructure and help Ukrainians. The head of state responded to this in a chat with journalists on Tuesday, January 20.

Zelenskyy noted that he is staying in Ukraine for now, but may go to Davos if there are certain agreements on energy packages, additional air defense means or signing documents.

"So far, I have a plan on how to help people with energy. I have held relevant consultations with the energy headquarters. Also, online-offline meetings are the top priority now. Of course, I choose Ukraine in this case, not the economic forum. But everything can change at any minute, because it is very important for me and for Ukrainians to end this war," Zelenskyy said.

According to him, the document on the restoration of Ukraine is almost finished, but for now it remains in place.
