On the night of January 20, the russians attacked Ukraine with a significant number of ballistic and cruise missiles, and also launched more than 300 drones, the Air Defense Forces alone worked on a significant number of targets.
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"A day before this strike, we finally received the necessary missiles, and this helped significantly. Every support package matters. Missiles for "Patriots", for "Nasams", for other air defense systems are critically needed. The direct task of our entire diplomatic system is to work so that Ukraine has enough air defense assets. And partners should not let us down with this, air defense missiles are a real protection for people's lives," he wrote.
According to him, the state "in the format of a special energy selector" will determine full details about the consequences of the attack and the necessary resources to restore the supply of electricity, heat and water to people.
"The most difficult situation is still in Kyiv, a significant number of residential buildings without heating," the President added.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as a result of the russian attack in Kyiv on Tuesday morning, 5,635 high-rise buildings were left without heating.
