Trump publishes Macron's private message to him

US President Donald Trump has published a private message from President Emmanuel Macron, in which he expressed disagreement with Trump's intentions regarding Greenland. Macron also suggested a G7 meeting to the American leader.

Trump published the screenshots on the social network TruthSocial.

"My friend, we completely agree on Syria. We can achieve great results on Iran. I don't understand what you are doing on Greenland," the message says.

According to him, Macron suggested Trump "do great things." In particular, the French President said that he could organize a G7 meeting after Davos in Paris on Thursday afternoon and invite Ukrainians, Danes, Syrians and russians to the meeting.

It should be noted that French Finance Minister Roland Lescure previously said that he would convene a meeting of his colleagues from the Group of Seven (G7) countries, where the country holds the presidency this year, "in the coming days."

"Let's have dinner together in Paris on Thursday before you return to the United States. Emmanuel," he added.

Reuters, citing a source close to Macron, reported that the correspondence is authentic.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Trump, meanwhile, criticized French President Emmanuel Macron after he refused to support the Gaza Peace Council and also proposed imposing tough tariffs on the country's products.

In addition, Trump previously mocked French President Emmanuel Macron, commenting on trade tariffs by the United States during a speech at the Republican Party convention in the House of Representatives.
