On the night and morning of January 20, the enemy massively attacked the facilities of the Ukrainian power system. As a result, consumers in the city of Kyiv and the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Sumy Regions were without power in the morning. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo.
It is noted that emergency restoration work began immediately after the end of the air alert and continues where the security situation currently allows.
"Due to the difficult situation in the power system caused by russian shelling, emergency power outages are currently being applied in some regions. Previously published hourly power outage schedules of regional power companies are not in effect there. Emergency power outages will be canceled immediately after the situation in the power system stabilizes. Follow the messages on the pages of your regional power companies," the message says.
Electricity consumption remains high.
"In all regions of Ukraine, throughout the day, there is a need for economical energy consumption. Please limit the use of powerful electrical appliances as much as possible. If possible, postpone energy-intensive processes to night hours - after 11:00 pm. Rational consumption of electricity will contribute to a shorter duration of forced power outages," the energy experts added.
We will remind you that, according to the President, the air defense missiles received a day before the massive strike significantly helped repel the attack.
