The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andrii Sybiha instructed all Ukrainian diplomatic institutions to initiate urgent fundraising for the purchase of equipment, electricity, power supply and all types of energy for Ukrainians. Sybiha wrote about this on his Facebook account on Monday, January 19.
The Foreign Minister appealed to all Ukrainian communities, partners, friends and benefactors in the world and called for support for the Ukrainian people during the extreme winter frosts and terrorist russian attacks on the energy sector.
"Today, I instructed all our foreign diplomatic institutions to initiate urgent fundraising similar to the one that our Polish friends have conducted these days... I call on all caring people in the world, all our friends, all our communities, civil society, parliaments, regional and local politicians, opinion leaders, media, and other communities to respond to this call," Sybiha wrote.
According to him, Ukraine is scaling up the Polish campaign to other countries of the world to purchase equipment, electricity, and power supplies of all types of energy directly for communities and Ukrainians who need it.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in Poland, a collection on the website of volunteer initiatives for generators for Kyiv after the massive russian shelling of the energy sector received more than PLN 1 million.
On January 15, Sybiha reported that Ukraine initiated an urgent meeting of the coordination group in the format of an energy "Ramstein" due to the critical situation in the energy system caused by russian shelling and abnormal frosts.
