President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that he had approved new combat operations of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU). This was stated in a message on the Facebook account of the head of state on Monday, January 19.
Zelenskyy noted that he had met with the acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yevhen Khmara. According to him, the transformation of the SSU continues.
"Report by Yevhen Khmara. The Security Service of Ukraine, as always, is active in protecting our state and people. Approved new combat operations. The internal transformation of the Service also continues - precisely in order to strengthen our state," Zelenskyy emphasized.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 10, the acting head of the Security Service of Ukraine Yevhen Khmara reported to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the agency's special operations.
As a reminder, on January 5, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy instructed the head of the Special Operations Center "A" of the Security Service of Ukraine, Yevhen Khmara, to temporarily act as the head of the SSU.
