The government keeps the situation on the oil and gas market under full control, ensuring stable imports and production of energy carriers. This was announced by First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal during the hour of question to government in the Verkhovna Rada.
According to him, the available resources of gasoline and diesel fuel will be enough for at least three weeks of uninterrupted work, and the supply of oil products from abroad continues on schedule.
"We are keeping the situation with fuel under control. This applies to both gasoline and diesel. We have reserves for more than 20 days, imports continue," Denys Shmyhal said.
The minister paid special attention to the gas sector, emphasizing its stability despite the constant threat from the aggressor. Thanks to a combination of domestic production and foreign purchases, the country has sufficient amounts of natural gas to get through the difficult period.
"We have gas reserves. We do not apply gas restrictions," the minister emphasized.
Shmyhal also added that the gas infrastructure remains under constant attacks by russia, but the government is actively working to restore damaged facilities and strengthen their protection. The main goal of the Cabinet of Ministers remains to guarantee uninterrupted supply of energy resources for the needs of the population and stable operation of the Ukrainian economy.
