To overcome the consequences of the energy crisis in the capital region, the authorities are considering the possibility of involving specialists from other regions of Ukraine who will help to promptly connect generators in high-rise buildings. This was announced by Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal.
According to him, representatives of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Reconstruction, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service and key energy companies are involved in the work.
"We held the second meeting of the Headquarters for the Elimination of the Consequences of the Emergency in the Electric Power Systems of the City of Kyiv and the Kyiv Region. Together with representatives of energy companies, we discussed how to strengthen the coordination of work. In particular, the possibility of involving teams from other regions to connect generators in high-rise buildings," the minister said.
He emphasized that as the head of the work on the elimination of the consequences of the emergency, he requires the fastest possible implementation of all adopted decisions. In particular, Denys Shmyhal set specific tasks for the leadership of the capital and the region to coordinate actions on the ground and instructed to hold a Kyiv City Defense Council to promptly adopt additional measures.
