Despite the night attack on Zhytomyr's energy infrastructure on January 15, which led to the de-energization of 7 boiler houses, heat supply in the city has been restored. The situation, which experts assessed as critical, has now been stabilized. It was reported by Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo.

The company emphasized that in conditions of extreme temperatures, the load on the equipment is enormous.

"Last night, 7 boiler houses were de-energized due to enemy attacks. We quickly connected some of them to generators. It should be understood that in such cold weather, the equipment is working at its limit and sometimes unstable," the company said.

The risk to the infrastructure was maximum: some houses were almost disconnected from the heating medium to save the heating system from destruction.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of power engineers and heating network specialists, all boiler houses were brought back into operation, avoiding the drainage of systems in the buildings. Currently, the equipment is operating normally, and heat is supplied to the homes of the citizens without interruption.

"Low temperatures pose a maximum threat to heating networks. That is why we are now working in an enhanced mode. Our main goal is to respond as quickly as possible in the event of a gust or other difficult situation to prevent the system from freezing," Zhytomyrteplocomunenergo said.

The problems concern not only electricity. According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko, almost 500 multi-storey buildings in the capital are still without heat supply. Emergency repair work in Kyiv and the region is ongoing, but is hampered by unfavorable weather conditions.

Smaller-scale, but still serious restrictions remain in other regions. In the Odesa Region, power engineers continue to eliminate the consequences of previous russian strikes. In the Dnipropetrovsk Region, 74,000 consumers were left without electricity after the night attacks, and more than 40,000 customers were cut off in the morning. The restoration of power grids there continues.

Meanwhile, the situation on the right bank of Kyiv has deteriorated to the level of the left bank.
