Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk reminded that it was the aggressor country russia that rejected the plan to end the war prepared by the United States. This is how he commented on the recent statement by US President Donald Trump
The head of the Polish government wrote about this on his X (Twitter) page.
"It is Russia whorejected the peace plan prepared by the US, not Zelenskyy. The only Russian response were further missile attacks on Ukrainian cities," Tusk said in a post.
According to him, the only solution to the current situation is to increase pressure on russia.

On Wednesday, January 14, Trump gave an interview to Reuters. He said that the peace deal is being delayed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and that russian dictator vladimir putin is allegedly ready to complete the invasion.
Trump was asked why he believes Zelenskyy is delaying the deal. The US president could not give a detailed answer. He only said that he thinks it is "difficult for the Ukrainian leader to do this."
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on January 12, Bloomberg wrote, citing a report by European governments, that russia has increased the intensity of strikes on Ukrainian civilians after a phone call between Trump and putin, during which they agreed to start negotiations on Ukraine.
In late December, Zelenskyy met with Trump to discuss an updated version of the "peace plan." The talks lasted several hours, but they failed to reach a final decision on the Donbas.
