US President Donald Trump said that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy still has no trump cards, recalling his words during the Oval Office clash. According to him, the only thing Zelenskyy has is Donald Trump.
He said this in an interview with The New York Times.
The journalist reminded Trump of his famous phrase to Zelenskyy about the lack of trump cards.
"That’s true. Well, he doesn’t have the cards. He didn’t — he didn’t have the cards from Day 1," the US president replied to the journalist's reminder of his words to Zelenskyy about the lack of cards.
Asked whether the Ukrainian president has cards now, Trump answered in the negative.
"No, he doesn't... He’s only got one thing... Donald Trump. If he doesn’t have Donald Trump, that thing would have been a total disaster, and he knows it, and the European leaders know, and everybody knows it," he said.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Trump also said that both sides of the conflict are finally ready to sign a peace agreement. He also convinced that the russians will not invade again, otherwise he "would not have agreed to the deal."
