According to the results of 2025, the enterprises of the Ukrainian Defense Industry JSC increased the production of weapons and military equipment by one and a half times compared to the previous year. Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this on his Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.
"This is Ukraine's response to the challenges of modern warfare and evidence that our weapons are becoming the foundation of national security... We continue to transform our defense industry into a powerful arsenal of the free world. We are investing in technology and people, creating an industrial base that can provide the Ukrainian army with everything it needs," he said.
Shmyhal also said that in total, in 2025, weapons and equipment worth UAH 180 billion were produced (against UAH 122 billion in 2024), the number of state contracts also increased by more than 50% last year, which made it possible to expand production capacity and workload of defense enterprises.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Shmyhal earlier said that the military is now receiving more than 1,500 anti-Shahed drones per day.
