Power equipment caught fire due to russian attack on DTEK unit in Dnipropetrovsk Region

On the night of January 7, the russian terrorist army attacked a DTEK unit in the Dnipropetrovsk Region. The attack set fire to power equipment.

It was reported by DTEK Dnipro Power Grids.

At night, the enemy sent several drones at one of DTEK's units. As a result, power equipment caught fire. No employees of the company were injured.

Firefighters promptly extinguished the fire, and restoration work is underway

It is noted that almost 22,000 homes in the region are still without electricity. However, over the past two days, power engineers have restored electricity to 16,025 families in 13 settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk Region.

The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration Vladyslav Haivanenko informed that seven people were injured in Dnipro at night due to a massive drone attack, two of them were children. An 8-year-old girl will recover at home, while a 16-year-old girl was taken to a medical facility in moderate condition. The shelling damaged high-rise buildings, a private house, administrative buildings, cars, infrastructure, and a gas pipeline.

In addition, drones hit the Vasylkiv community of the Synelnykove District, where a private house caught fire. And the enemy shelled Nikopol with artillery.

All in all, air defense forces shot down 27 enemy drones in the Dnipropetrovsk Region

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reporteds, meanwhile, on the night of January 6, the russian terrorist army hit a critical infrastructure facility with a FAB-500 bomb, destroying it. Gas supply was cut off to 238 apartment buildings.
