Ukrainian paratroopers foiled occupiers' attempt to break through Soyuz gas pipeline in Kharkiv Region

In the Kharkiv Region, russian troops tried to use the Soyuz gas pipeline for covert advancement and accumulation of forces, but their plans were foiled by Ukrainian paratroopers.

This was reported by the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The occupiers operated north of Novoplatonivka - in the direction of Nova Kruhliakivka and Zahryzove. About 50 people were involved in the breakthrough.

The 77th Separate Airmobile Naddniprianska Brigade, in cooperation with adjacent units, detected the enemy's actions in time and stopped the assault. According to the military, at least 40 occupiers were eliminated.

"According to the results of the operation, the enemy did not achieve the set objectives, and the situation in the zone of responsibility is stabilized," the corps noted.

Recall that the russians have repeatedly used gas pipelines to stealthily reach Ukrainian positions. In particular, this was the case in March 2025 in the Kursk Oblast. However, the Ukrainian military discovered the russians' advance through the pipe and eliminated 80% of them when they tried to get out.

Those who survived this operation developed lung cancer and a number of other serious illnesses.
