In the Sudzha district of the Kursk Oblast, russians tried to penetrate the territory controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine through underground communications of the main gas pipeline, but 80% of them were destroyed.
This was reported by AFU officer Myroslav Hai on Facebook.
"The command of one of the airborne assault brigades skillfully applied previously received intelligence about the enemy's plans to use the underground communications of the Progress main gas pipeline for sabotage activities in the Sudzha district. The enemy tried to act according to the Avdiyivka operation scenario, using engineering structures to penetrate the territory controlled by the AFU," he said.
According to him, the Ukrainian paratroopers outpaced the occupiers.
"A skillfully organized ambush allowed to wait for the enemy to exit the tunnel and gather near the exit. The decisive moment was when the exit from the pipe was blocked, making it impossible to evacuate the enemy group. Then came the destruction. About 80% of the enemy's personnel were eliminated," Hai reported.
At the same time, he noted that through radio interception it became known about the panic among the enemy's manpower: the invaders complained that they had been thrown to certain death.
"When the war ends, we will not have to invent scenarios for movies, we will simply need to describe real events and Hollywood will quietly rest on the sidelines," the officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
