The death toll from the russian attack on Kharkiv on January 2 has increased to 5 people. Mayor Ihor Terekhov has reported this on his Telegram channel.

"Another body fragment was found at the site of Friday's explosions. Thus, the death toll from Friday's explosions has risen to five," he wrote.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the afternoon of January 2, the occupiers struck Kharkiv using two Iskander-M ballistic missiles. They hit a multi-storey residential building, partially destroying it. Several other high-rise buildings located near the site of the "hit" were also damaged.

One of the victims was a 3-year-old boy who was pulled out of the rubble by rescuers. More than 30 people were injured.
