On the night of Friday, January 2, the russian occupation army attacked energy facilities in the Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia Regions, as a result of which consumers in the Zaporizhzhia Region were without power as of this morning, in addition, 27 settlements in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region and 17 settlements in the Lviv Region were without power due to bad weather.
This was announced at a briefing by Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
The Deputy Minister said that enemy attacks on energy infrastructure facilities were recorded in the Mykolaiv and Zaporizhzhia Regions that night.
As of this morning, consumers in the Zaporizhzhia Region, in particular in the city of Zaporizhzhia, as well as in other front-line regions, remain without power.
At the same time, the restoration of equipment previously damaged by the enemy is underway in the Odesa and Kyiv Regions.
In particular, in the Odesa Region, more than 11,000 consumers remain without electricity after previous attacks.
Emergency restoration work is ongoing.
In addition, 27 settlements in the Ivano-Frankivsk Region and 17 settlements in the Lviv Region were left without electricity due to adverse weather conditions.
Repair crews are working to restore the lines.
Andarak noted that electricity is imported to balance the power system and measures are being taken to limit consumption, in particular, in most regions, hourly outage schedules and capacity limitation schedules for industry and business are in effect.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of December 30, russia struck the energy infrastructure of the Chernihiv Region, as a result of which more than 75,000 consumers in the region were left without electricity.
