Man who shot at territorial recruitment and social support center’s serviceman in Kharkiv could receive up to 7 years in prison

A man driving a car shot at a serviceman of a territorial recruitment and social support center during a document check. This is stated in the message of the Kharkiv regional police on the Telegram channel on Wednesday, December 31.

The incident occurred in the Nemyshlianskyi District of Kharkiv. Around 9 a.m., on Kharkivskykh Dyvizii Street, a 42-year-old driver fired at a territorial recruitment and social support center’s serviceman during a document check and then fled.

"As a result of the incident, the serviceman did not receive any injuries, the bullet damaged his uniform. In order to quickly detain the offender, the police launched a special police operation in the city," the police said.

A few hours later, the attacker was detained. He faces up to seven years in prison.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on December 25, a man wounded two territorial recruitment and social support center's servicemen conducting notificaton activities.

On December 24, in the Rivne Region, an aggressive crowd attacked a notification group of a territorial recruitment and social support center.

On December 3, in Lviv, a 30-year-old local resident fatally wounded a serviceman of the Halytsko-Frankivskyi united district territorial recruitment and social support center during the document check with a knife.
